Kill La Kill: Nude Is The New Normal. Clothing is Optional.

Fear Is Freedom! Subjugation Is Liberation! Contradiction Is Truth! These Are The Truths Of This World!

Sexy girls wearing skimpy clothing while fighting each other to the death, what more can you ask? Kill La Kill has one of the most original plot, characters and animation that I’ve ever seen during my 20 years of watching anime. This anime clearly deserves more credit and recognition which is exactly what I’m going to give it!

We’ll start off with our main girl Ryuko Matoi. She is a transfer student who has recently return to her home town. Upon her arrival, she finds her dad getting stabby stabby in the living room. In shock and desperation, she pursues the murderer. The plot pretty much revolves around the mystery of a high school girl on her quest for vengeance. But of course, that would be wayyyyy too boring without any fan service lol.

This anime introduced the concept of Life Fibres, essentially fabric with power boosting capabilities. When woven into normal clothes, they give insane power ups, and transformation capabilities. Henshin!!! And the transformations are not for the feint of heart 😉 It has been scientifically proven that, the increased skin exposure helps the anime girls to reach their full potential………. no complaints here.

The popping visual give it a unique appeal towards the retro fans that are into the classics such as Cowboy Bebop and Dr.Slump. The cataclysmic scale of colour vomit seemingly integrates into the anime without any hiccups. With over the top action, drama and humour, this anime really hits a home run for the fan service loving Otakus that are searching for something entertaining to watch.

The story revolves around Ryuko trying to unlock the mystery behind her fathers death. She enrols into Honnouji Academy and fights her way towards the top. The student president council Satsuki Kiryūin. I find it interesting how Ryuko and Satsuki are half sisters? Their father was definitely a player lol. And the best girl of this whole anime would have to be Mako Mankashoku, who has the worst timing, always making the whole squad laugh. Ryuko quickly befriends Mako and lives with her. Potato croquettes are consumed on a daily basis because the mother doesn’t know how to cook anything else lol. Mako’s family consists of a hopelessly perverted dad and a little brother who tries to take advantage of any fan service like us viewers.

Let me tell you what I think about this high school. It’s nuts lol. You’ve got a bunch of weirdo’s who form the student council. We have the masochist, the computer data geek, the cocky kendo kid and the pink hair girl who is pretty cute tbh lol. Ryuko has to defeat each and every one of the student council before she can face the council president, Satsuki Kiryūin. Satsuki is by far the strongest in this high school and dominates every aspect of it. She is the daughter of the great lady Ragyō Kiryūin who is the CEO of the organisation REVOC that integrates life fibres into nearly 90% of the clothing worldwide.

The most noticeable scene was the battle royal because this event got interrupted by Nui Harime, the grand courtier, who revealed to Ryuko that she was the one would murdered her dad. SHIT HIT THE FAN PEOPLE! Ryuko transforms into this uncontrollable beast that goes on a massive rampage nearly killing everyone in sight. Good thing our best friend Mako came to the rescue with her melodramatic flashbacks that was sure to pull a few heart strings and knock a few teeth out with laughter lolololol.

And not to mention this Libertarian group called the Nudist Beach, who fights within the shadows to eradicate the existence of Life Fibres. With their leader, the perverted undercover high school teach who’s clothing always slips off at the most unconventional times, Aikuro Mitsukagi, it completes the fan-service without leaving the female audience out. Interestingly enough, Life Fibres were extraterrestrial beings that invaded earth millennia’s ago with the aim to take over earth as a food source.

The fighting gets more and more intense as Kyuko and Senketsu gains a bunch of new abilities, and one that even allows her to fly! What’s more beautiful is that she regains the lost relationship with her sister, Satsuki. Watching them fight alongside each other makes it a special bonding anime moment that is hard to find anywhere else. Plus their Kamuis didn’t cover anything and it was fantastic to watch lol.

Watch it and you won’t be disappointed. With the original story line, animation and soundtracks, this anime will definitely make it to your top 10 all time favourites. If anything else, just watch it for humour because I’m sure Mako will make you laugh up a storm lol.

Steins Gate – The Plausibility of Time Travel

What kind of mad scientist worries about not getting enough vegetables?

Hello guys! Welcome back everybody it’s your boy AR Senpai here to hit you up with some mind bending physics. Is time travel really possible? We’ll use Steins Gate as a reference point to see how scientifically accurate the anime is and whether microwaving a banana is a good idea or not lol.

Let’s start of with some character introductions shall we? We’ve got mad scientist Okabe Rintarou, the sweet childhood friend Mayuri and the actual genius who really knows her shit Kurisu. Oh and we can’t forget our expert engineer………. what was his name again? lol

Steins Gate is a word that was created by Okabe. This was the perfect future he had envisioned and prayed for. The origin of the world comes from Germany – where Stein means stone. So rock gate or door way? Someone please help me, I’m pulling so much shit from my ass here lol.

After the Okabe discovers the ability to send texts back into the past and skipping through alternate realities, he begins to piece together a successful time travel method through microwaving multiple bananas lol. However he comes across a tough decision between the reality of saving his lover Kurisu or his best friend Mayuri.

In a sense we’re are time travellers who are moving into the future at a constant rate in time. Lets say we can travel in time 1 minute per 1 minute. The question here is whether or not it’s possible to travel back or forwards in time at a quicker pace; such as travel forward 10 years in 1 minute?

Forming our argument of time travel based of Albert Einstein’s special relativity, it states that time and space are linked. The universal speed limit is 300,000 km per second for basically anything that wishes to travel through time. And according to this theory, time apparently moves slower for you relative to the stationary objects you’ve passed. But just because your moving quickly and time seems slower for you, does that really mean you’ll age any slower?

If you could fly at the speed for light into space and kept going for 5 years until you returned to earth you would notice your friends would be around 65 years old. But could it also mean that you would biologically be 65 years old too however the 5 years you perceived to have pass by was actually 65 years in real time? Essentially you reached 65 years at a rate that SEEMED faster to you?

What I believe to be happening in Steins gate is that Okabe is actually jumping through alternate SPACE as oppose to the same space that light travels through in the paragraph above. Imagine if there where infinite number of world lines (or realities) that occurs at exactly the same time. On world line 1 the events at 9am are happening normally. But on world line 2, events at 8:30am may overlap and occur at the same time as 9am on world line 1. Essentially Okabe jumps from world line 1 at 9am into world line 2 where it’s 8:30am and he would have perceived it as “time travel”. Keep in mind that there are an infinite number of spaces therefore an infinite number of overlaps can occur. Events from your you blinking right now could coincide world war 2 on a different timeline assuming things that occurred in timeline 2 were the same as your world line.

This might explain why Okabe himself didn’t have drastic changes in age or appearance as he skipped through world lines. Regardless, he was still getting older and didn’t matter if it was going into the past world line or future world line. Because he’s slipping through world lines, the time constant is normal which is 1min=1min. However if he was on the same world line, and did jump through time like the speed on light, 5 years could equal to 65 years.

As for the practical sides of how to time travel works, the Future Gadget 204 or FG204 time machine seems cool. The explanation behind how it actually works was lacking though. As for the plausibility of time travel, I believe it’s a controversial topic that can become true it the future. Just because we can’t prove the existence of time travel now, we shouldn’t disregard the potentials of technological advancements.

My Neighbour Totoro

Everybody, try laughing. Then whatever scares you will go away!

Welcome to probably the most beloved childhood anime, My Neighbour Totoro. The big fluffy country-side racoon that sleeps all the time will capture your heart will his big fluffy belly and stubby hands. If you loved watching Spirited Away and love to immerse yourself in the supernaturals, this anime may just be for you 😉

We start off with the Kusakabe family consisting of four members. Two daughters, Mei and Satsuki who are trouble makers from the start of the film. They were hiding from the “police” in the moving truck filled with furnitures. There’s also Tatsuo and Yasuko who are the parents. One has an eccentric personality while the other is as gentle as a feather. Who is who, you can see for yourself lol.

Another honourable mention is Kanta Ōkagi, who is a hardworking farm boy that has a big crush on one of the sisters wink wink. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed but at least his heart is in the right place. He is always helping out the sisters when they are in trouble.

The new house that the Kusakabe family moves into is supposedly haunted. The first appearance of anything supernatural was the soot spreaders or dust bunnies as the children called them. They had fun having a wild goose chase to capture them, eventually figuring out they were low level spirits made up of soot.

After settling in, Mei was out and about on her adventurous acorn hunt in her backyard. She comes across a mini Totoro which lead her to find an even bigger Totoro. The chase led her to a secret passage which connects her backyard with the big ass tree. She follows the trail leading to the biggest Totoro that we all know and love.

Sleeping soundingly and squashily. Totoro was just a bundle of cuteness. Mei fell asleep on the big guy and eventually woke up in her backyard as Satsuki and her dad were trying to find her.

We discover that their mum is sick at the hospital with an unnamed illness. The kids desperately await for their mother to return home, brimming with hope. Until they get a notice from the hospital that her condition was getting worse and her return had to be postponed 😦

Like many kids, Mei goes off on her own to try find her mother. And she gets lost…… Satsuki asks for the help of Totoro and Catbus to search for her sister. Turns out she wasn’t really that far away lol.

I’m not sure if the was an LSD induced trip or a common Japanese folklore but nonetheless it was very cute and entertaining. Considering this anime was made nearly 20 years ago, the animation, song and storyline are incredibly well done.

Our plot twist Waifu, Totoro!
